Courtney Eeds ’22

Major: Elementary Education

Outfit: C-Company

Courtney Eeds ‘22 is a current member of C-Company in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Courtney serves as the outfit’s Second Platoon Leader and Public Relations Officer. In addition to her leadership roles within C-Company, Courtney is also the Executive Officer for the O.R. Simpson Honor Society.

Off the Quad, Courtney is a member of the Traditions Council where she serves as the Internal Vice Chair. In this role, Courtney works alongside the Chair and External Vice Chair, and oversees the Bonfire Remembrance, Membership Development and Ring Scholarship Committee Chairs. Courntey is also a student worker for the University Center and Special Events Office, where she assists various departments and student organizations in booking meetings at the MSC and in Rudder Tower.

“The Corps has given me countless experiences that I would not be able to receive in any other organization at any other university. I have strengthened my leadership abilities, learned time management, built relationships across the Quad and have networked with countless former Aggies. I am grateful for my time spent in the Corps and my former upperclassmen who poured into me, so that I could pour into those within my outfit and across the band,” Courtney said of her time in the Corps.

After graduating from Texas A&M this fall, Courtney plans to stay in College Station and work as an elementary school teacher.

Nate Rossi ’22

Hometown: Sealy, Texas

Major: Natural Resources & Rangeland Management

Outfit: B-Company

Nate Rossi ‘22 is currently the B-Company Commanding Officer in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

On the Quad, Nate has previously served as the Infantry Band Bass Drummer and the First Sergeant of B-Company.

Off the Quad, Nate is an active member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. In his free time, Nate enjoys playing the guitar and exploring the outdoors.

“Throughout my Corps career, I have realized my passion is to pass on intangible lessons to others so that they become a leader in their own unique way,” Nate said of his time in the Corps.

Upon graduating from Texas A&M, Nate plans to work in the environmental research field or for the state of Texas.

Rachel Talkington ’22

Major: Technology Management with a minor in Business

Outfit: C-Company

Rachel Talkington ’22 is a member of C-Company in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, where she currently serves as the outfit’s Career Readiness Officer. In addition to her leadership role within her outfit, Rachel also serves as the Commanding Officer of the Corps Center Guard.

Rachel has participated in a number of activities throughout her time at Texas A&M, including the Cyber Operations Unit and the University’s Concert and Symphonic bands. Prior to being named the Commanding Officer of the Corps Center Guard, Rachel served as the special unit’s Guidon Bearer for the 2019-2020 academic year, and the First Sergeant for 2020-2021.

“The Corps has given me experiences that I would not have anywhere else. I’ve been able to spend the last four years with some of the best friends that I will ever make. I have had leadership challenges and experiences that I never could have dreamed of. I have been changed by the Corps and I believe that it has made me better,” Rachel said of her time in the Corps.

Upon graduating from Texas A&M in the Spring of 2023, Rachel plans to work in the Information Technology field and one day work for her family’s business.

Nolan Moore ’22

Major: Communication Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship

Outfit: A-Company

Nolan Moore ‘22 is a currently a member of Corps Staff, where he serves as the Career Readiness Officer. Previously, Nolan was a member of A-Company in The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

“I lead 23 people directly and provide multiple resources, including this year’s new CR website, for cadets to use through their journey in the Corps and Texas A&M. I work closely with the Hollingsworth Center for Ethical Leadership, where we help cadets increase their skills in 12 different competencies. I have also interned at the Hollingsworth Center for Ethical Leadership as their career readiness intern,” he said.

Off the Quad, Nolan participates in the Sales Club as well as Aggie Network Student Ambassadors. Last spring, Nolan was elected as one of The Class of 2022’s Class Agents. In this position, he serves as a liaison between The Association of Former Students and the Class of 2022. This year, Nolan also volunteered as the Performance Coordinator for the 2021 Dash for Downs Syndrome that was held at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater on October 3rd, 2021.

“The Corps has truly helped me become a well-rounded person. I am thankful for the people I have met and worked with. Marching on Kyle Field on Saturdays and being able to participate in all of the Corps traditions have truly been a huge blessing. I had no clue how much the Corps would develop and push me, and I am truly grateful I bought into the program and let it shape me to be the man I am today,” he says.

Upon his graduation in December of 2022, Nolan plans to work for Dell Technologies in Austin as a Technology Inside Salesman. Nolan hopes to one day return to College Station, where he would like to open his own business.

Jacob Abell ‘22

Hometown: Keller, Texas

Major: Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Spanish

Outfit: B-Company

Jacob Abell ‘22 is the 2021-2022 Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band Commander. Prior to becoming the Band Commander, Jacob followed in his father’s footsteps as a member of B-Company. Jacob is a member of the Ross Volunteer Company, the O.R. Simpson Honor Society, the Premed Society, and the Corps Marathon Team. His freshman year, Jacob was a proud member of the Fish Drill Team (FDT). During his time on FDT, Jacob played a role in the team’s success as they were named the National Champions at the Tulane drill competition in 2019.

Jacob has been accepted into Texas A&M’s Medical School through the Cadet to Medicine Program. Upon his graduation from Texas A&M, Jacob plans to attend Texas A&M’s Medical School and complete his military residency. After completing medical school, Jacob plans to serve as an orthopedic surgeon in the United States Army.
