July 23, 2021 by amy.thompson

Back

Kyle Medlock ‘21 is a Biomedical Sciences major, with a minor in Public Health, from Abilene, Texas. He is the son of Walt Medlock ’94 and Karen Medlock ’94.

Kyle, a member of A-Battery in the Aggie Band, now serves on the Combined Band Staff as the Combined Band Drum Major. He is also the Combined Band Training/Operations/Logistics Officer and Combined Band Chaplain. On the Quad, he is a member of the Ross Volunteer Company, the O.R. Simpson Honor Society, and plays guitar in the Aggieland Orchestra. Off the Quad, Kyle volunteers with Meals on Wheels, CHI St. Joseph hospital, and is a delegate for the College of Biomedical Sciences. He also devotes much of his time to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, as well as St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he teaches a high school youth class.

Kyle plans to graduate in May 2021 with hopes of attending medical school and serving  as a physician in the military. He says, “Being a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band has shown me both the hard lessons and the profound blessings of life. The environment here enables endless possibilities as long as you are willing to remain dedicated through whatever life may throw at you.”

Kyle serves as an outstanding example for all our cadets in the Corps! We wish him nothing but continued success in all of his future endeavors, and know he is going to continue to make all of us proud! Gig ‘em, Kyle!
