Jaimie Lee Colon Borrero ‘21 is a Spanish major, minoring in Psychology and Hospitality Management, from Ponce, Puerto Rico. She is the daughter of Edithness and Roberto Colon. She is the Commanding Officer of Squadron 6 in the Corps of Cadets.

Jaimie is a member of the General O.R Simpson Honor Society due to her academic success, is a member of the Arnold Air Society, and is the Air Force ROTC Logistics Readiness Commander. Throughout her time in the Corps, Jaimie has learned valuable lessons, made incredible friendships, and has spent much time serving the community of Bryan/College Station. “The Corps experience has completely changed my life forever,” she said. “I am thankful for the amazing members of Savage Six for their courage in life, savagery in battle, and service in all we do.”

Off the Quad, Jaimie has participated in the Puerto Rican Student Association, Latin Fusion Dance company, and has also served as a volunteer tutor at the Brazos Interfaith Immigration Network. As a first-generation college student, Jaimie is extremely passionate about academics. She maintains a 3.8 CGPA and is a Regent’s Scholar. Along with completing her degree, Jaimie is currently pursuing a teaching certification in Bilingual Education and hopes to make a positive impact on the next generation of bilingual students. She works for the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center as a front desk agent, where she enjoys learning about the hospitality industry, working with Aggies who embody the core values, and making meaningful connections with former students.

After graduation in May 2021, Jaimie will commission in the United States Air Force to serve as a Force Support Officer. She hopes to earn a Master’s degree in Business Administration and own a business that provides services in child development, psychology, education, or hospitality. We are extremely proud of Jaimie’s hard work and dedication, and are confident in her future success. We wish Jaimie success and happiness in all of her future endeavors! Gig ‘em, Jaimie!
