Is the Corps For You?
As Texas A&M’s oldest, largest and most visible student organization, the Corps of Cadets can trace its origins back to the university’s founding in 1876. For generations, the Corps has challenged young men and women who went on to find it was the perfect space to learn, lead and inspire. Though the Corps utilizes a tough and rigorous military based cultural model to develop our students, there’s no military service commitment associated with membership in the Corps tied to your status as a cadet. In fact, over 60% of all cadets go on to lead in the public and private sectors after graduation. Additionally, Texas A&M is the largest producer of military officers outside of the Service Academies.
