Alternate Paths Into the Corps of Cadets
Feel like something is missing in your college experience? Your answer may be found in the Corps of Cadets. As long as you are an undergraduate student with four semesters left in your academic journey, you are still eligible to join the Corps. New cadets are welcomed at the beginning of each semester. The Corps of Cadets has three outfits that are dedicated to supporting students who are joining the Corps later in their college careers.

Do you feel like something is missing from your college experience?
The Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is the oldest and largest student organization at Texas A&M. As a cadet, you’ll be part of something greater than yourself. As long as you have four semesters left at Texas A&M, you are still eligible to join the Corps. There are three outfits that support students who are joining the Corps later in their college careers: Company K-1, Company D-1 and Squadron 18. Upon completion of their initial “fish” semester, students in these outfits are evaluated by Corps Academic Advisors and moved up to their appropriate class year. After reclassification, students can either remain in their first outfit, or join one of the Corps’ other 38 outfits.
