Zachary Banks ’19

July 23, 2021 by amy.thompson

Back

Zachary Banks ‘19 is an Electrical Computing Engineering major with a focus in Electrical Engineering. He is a Marine veteran of six years, and has called many places home. While serving in the Marine Corps, Zachary was deployed to Afghanistan and served as a Marine Security Guard in Denmark, Algeria, and Malta.

Zachary joined Delta Company during the 2015-2016 academic year, where he served as the company’s Guidon as a sophomore. His junior year, Zachary took on a leadership position as the First Sergeant and is currently serving as the Delta Company’s Commanding Officer.

Zachary is on track to receive his Bachelor of Science in ECEN in December 2019. He has had internships with several companies and plans to work for a petroleum company after he graduates. He will be sure to continue to embody the Aggie Ethos as he moves on to bigger and better things.

Zachary is extremely grateful for his opportunity to attend Texas A&M University and be a part of the Corps of Cadets. He is able to have an almost traditional student experience at Texas A&M, and join one of the most storied traditions in the country.
