Wyatt Klein ‘18 is a computer and electrical engineering major with a minor in mathematics from Tucson, Arizona. He is the son of Darcie Klein and Jeff Parfenchuck and a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.
Klein began his fish year in A-Company Wolfpack and became the A-Company Fire Team Leader as a sophomore. The following year, he was selected as trumpet section sergeant and transitioned to Combined Band Staff as the inspector general/scholastics/discipline sergeant. Klein is continuing the roles of inspector general/scholastics/discipline officer and has been selected as the trumpet section officer.
On the quad, Klein is an active member of the OR Simpson Honor Society and was selected as the 2017-2018 Executive Officer for Corps Center Guard. Klein has participated with Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, where he traveled around the continental United States performing elite marching band shows for thousands of people during the summer of 2015. This past summer, he interned with Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems as an electrical engineer. During his internship, Klein worked on developing and improving the F-16’s Modular Mission Computers and complimentary computer module cartridges.
Upon graduation, Klein plans to obtain a master’s degree in electrical engineering. In the future, he hopes to work for a defense company. Klein says he wants to protect our warfighters while utilizing the Corps experience and values.
