Samantha Guerrero ‘18

Samantha Guerrero ‘18 is a Sociology major from Sugar Land, Texas.  She is the daughter of Arnoldo Guerrero and Alva Barbosa.

Samantha currently serves as the Commanding Officer of Squadron-4. She is also a member of The Ross Volunteer Company and serves as the Platoon Sergeant for the Squat Platoon.  Samantha has been in SQ-4 since her fish year and was selected as the Outstanding Freshman in her unit and in Third Regiment.

As a sophomore, she served as a Fire Team Leader and Finance Corporal and as the NROTC’s Midshipmen Battalion Mike Company First Sergeant. During her junior year, Samantha served as SQ-4’s First Sergeant and was selected as the Corps’ Outstanding First Sergeant at the end of her Junior year.  Samantha completed Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia, last summer and placed in the top 8% of graduating Candidates.

Off the Quad, Samantha is involved in the Sociology Honor Society, or AKD, and serves as an assistant event coordinator for The Houston Museum of Natural Science. She is also a member of the Semper Fi Society.  Samantha graduates in May 2018 and will commission into The United States Marine Corps. We know Samantha will make an outstanding Marine Officer and want to wish her the best in the future!
