July 23, 2021 by amy.thompson

Back

Miles O’Neal ‘19 is a Nuclear Engineering major with a double minor in Radiological Health and Mathematics. He is from McKinney, Texas and the son of Keith and Tamra O’Neal.

Miles is a member of A-Battery and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. He is currently a platoon leader and training officer. He has previously served as the training sergeant, a squad leader, public relations corporal, and a team leader. He will tell you that the best part of the Corps and Band experience is the exceptional people he has met, worked with, and now calls his friends.

Miles is just as busy off the Quad as he is on the Quad! He is a member of the American Nuclear Society. He enjoys playing football and soccer intramurals with his buddies from the Corps. Miles can often be found giving back to his community through various community service activities during the school year with his Corps buddies as well as during winter break and summer break back home in McKinney, focusing on Habitat for Humanity and tutoring mathematics for public school children.

Upon graduation, Miles plans to continue his education by seeking a Master of Science and then a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering. He knows what he wants to accomplish in his career and in life, and he is sure to find success in both. Miles is sure to make us as proud of his future endeavors as we are of him currently. We wish him the best of success in all that he achieves in the future!
