Active within the Corps, Wes participated in Rudder’s Rangers and is a member of the Ross Volunteer Company. Off the Quad, Wes was involved in Student Bonfire and was a member of a Freshman Leadership Organization, FAST (Freshman Aggies Spreading Traditions).
Upon graduation, Wes will commission as a Second Lieutenant into the United States Army. He has been branched Aviation, and will attend Flight School in November, hoping to fly Apache helicopters. He also aspires to one day earn his Masters of Business Administration, and possibly work for a company in the private sector. His recently got engaged to his fiancée, Kelly, and is excited about all that their future holds for them.
Wes is an accomplished young man who has been on a direct path to military leadership since his freshman year. He has done a superb job as the Commander of Second Brigade this year – something that I know will serve him well as he prepares to enter the US Army as a Second Lieutenant. He is a sterling example of a leader of character who embodies our core values of Honor, Integrity, Selfless Service and Discipline. I have no doubt that he is going to enjoy great success as an Officer and Helicopter Pilot in the U.S. Army. I wish him and his fiancée Kelly well as they begin this new and exciting time in their lives.
