Robert Porter ’20

July 23, 2021 by amy.thompson

Back

Robert Porter is a Finance Major at The Mays Business School, minoring in Global Economics. He is from Trophy Club, TX and is currently serving as the Commanding Officer for Squadron 4.

Originally from P-2, he served as a Fire Team Leader his sophomore year.   His junior year, Robert served as the 1st Sgt of Squadron 4. He is a member of the Corps Triathlon Team and also tutors calculus in the O.R. Simpson Honor Society.

Robert also has had the opportunities to advance his career in finance: writing a research paper that cross-analyzes the economies of Poland, Germany and the U.S., interning at McAfee Cybersecurity as a Financial Analyst, and managing a multi-million dollar portfolio as a part of a financial market experiment in one of his finance courses. Upon graduation, Robert hopes to move to Dallas to pursue his MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas, while working as a Financial Analyst.

Robert has great drive and determination and I know he will continue to succeed in all that he does. His commitment to academic excellence shows he is an exceptional leader who strives to be the best at all that he does. We wish Robert the best of luck in all of his future endeavors!
