Ricardo Pellegrino ’13 is an Engineering Technology major with a concentration in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Caracas, Venezuela. He is the son of Antonio and Victoria Pellegrino.

Active within the Corps, Ricardo is the Squadron 12 Commanding Officer and a member of the Corps Center Guard. He participated in the Corps Excursion to Qatar/Kuwait in January 2013 and is the recipient of the Brigadier General Joe E. Ramirez, Jr. Scholarship in 2012-2013, presented annually to a member of the Corps by the Texas A&M Hispanic Network for outstanding Hispanic achievement.

Outside the Corps, Ricardo is involved in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE); the Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society, serving as Treasurer for the spring semester; and the Venezuelan Student Association, serving as the Secretary for the 2012-2013 school year.

Ricardo was also recently one of only 12 cadets selected for the prestigious Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities at Texas A&M.

This summer, Ricardo will serve an internship with L’Oreal USA in the Development Group for Consumer Products division in New York City. He is scheduled to graduate in May 2014 with a Certificate in Leadership Study and Development and aspires to work as a Manufacturing Engineer for L’Oreal or Procter & Gamble.

I am very proud of Ricardo and his positive, focused approach to his studies and his leadership responsibilities in the Corps. He has a keen vision for his future, and I look forward to seeing him as he becomes a leader for our state and our nation in the future.
