All qualified cadets attending JCAP are eligible to compete for a Corps of Cadets scholarship, which carries no military obligation and may be used in conjunction with other scholarships. Attendance at JCAP will gain participants additional points for scholarship consideration. If a Corps Scholarship is awarded to a student who is not a resident of Texas, the recipient may qualify for in-state tuition. To claim the scholarship students must complete the scholarship section of the TAMU application (applytexas.org), gain and accept admission to TAMU, and join the Corps of Cadets.
Apply to JCAP
JCAP costs a non-refundable $25 per student. To apply to attend JCAP and learn about attendance requirements, click on the button above and complete the online application. After completing the online application, your qualifications for attending the program will be reviewed. A confirmation packet will then be mailed to you with the required forms. Your application is not complete until we receive your required forms and payment by fax or email. Due to a limited number of spots, prompt return of the forms is encouraged.
If traveling by bus or plane, please make your arrival/departure destination Bryan, Texas (bus) or College Station, Texas (air). We are unable to provide transportation to and from the Bryan Bus Station or the College Station airport (CLL), Easterwood Field, but taxis are available. A commercial shuttle service from Houston Intercontinental and Houston Hobby Airports to College Station is available (GroundShuttle.com), but you will need to coordinate to be dropped off and picked up at the TAMU Corps of Cadets Center.
Parents are welcome to attend portions of the program. A parent’s information session is held on Friday afternoon and parents are invited to join their students at the recognition ceremony on Friday evening. Students will be housed on campus but parents will need to arrange their own accommodations. Hotels/motels in Bryan/College Station may fill up during football weekends. Parents should make reservations as soon as possible. More information on possible locations can be found here.
