Ninfa Salinas ’15 is a Horticulture Major with a Professional Event Management Certification from San Antonio, Texas and is the daughter of Ninfa and David Salinas. She is currently serving as the 2nd Regiment Recruiting Officer for the 2014-2015 school year.

Active within the Corps, Ninfa has served as the 2nd Regiment Recruiting Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant. She was a member of the Darling Recruiting Company her sophomore year and also served as the Recruiting Sergeant, Public Relations Sergeant, Recruiting Corporal and Fire Team Leader for Company F-1. Ninfa received the Best Drilled Freshman, Best Drilled Sophomore and the Most Outstanding Recruiting Corporal as a member of the Corps.

Outside the Corps, Ninfa is a member of the Texas A&M Student American Institute of Floral Designers (SAIFD) where she currently serves as Treasurer. This organization makes floral arrangements for various campus and student-led events, including the Presidents Endowed Scholarship Banquet. They also help decorate the university president’s home for the holidays. Ninfa plans to attend the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) summer symposium in Colorado – which attracts designers, educators and interested individuals from all corners of the world to enhance educational opportunities in the floral industry, as well as for the floral consumer market.

Upon Graduation in December 2015, Ninfa plans to work at a floral shop to prepare for a future as a wholesaler or sales representative for floral products.

Ninfa has been a stellar example for her fellow cadets throughout her time as a member of the Corps, and she is well respected by all who know her. She has held various leadership positions in the Corps and has proven to be a leader of vision and action who can get things done in a timely and professional manner. Ninfa has set her goals for success in the floral industry, and is well on track to achieving her goals in the near future. I am very proud of Ninfa and I know she will continue to lead by example and will go on to great success as a floral wholesaler or sales representative.
