Active within the Corps of Cadets, Karl has had the opportunity to serve in several positions during his tenure in the Corps. He was a member of Company N-1 his freshman and sophomore years, serving as company guide his second year. Karl spent the first semester of his junior year as the Training Sergeant on Corps Staff, where he monitored and guided the remedial Physical Training (PT) program for the Corps, among other duties. He then served as 1st Sergeant for Company F-1 during his second semester of his junior year. Karl is also a member of the Ross Volunteers and was a member of the TAMU Marine Recon Company.

Karl is a Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) contract cadet, and after graduation he plans to commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps where he hopes to fly helicopters.

Karl is an exceptional young man, a superb role model and leader, and has been a successful cadet in every endeavor he has undertaken. When asked to take on tough responsibilities under very difficult circumstances, Karl has risen to every challenge without fail. I am very proud of Karl and all that he has accomplished as a member of the Corps of Cadets, and have no doubt he will excel in his career as a helicopter pilot in the United States Marine Corps. Semper Fi, Karl!
