The Corps of Cadets is excited for this Saturday as our Fightin’ Texas Aggies Beat the Hell Outta Arkansas! The cadets will conduct a “March-in Through Campus” prior to this week’s game, and afterward the entire Corps of Cadets will attend the football game. We are excited to have the Corps of Cadets from Texas A&M Galveston join us for the “March-in Through Campus” this week. The route for this week’s Campus March-in can be seen above. The timeline for this week’s game is as follows:
4:00 PM – Quad must be cleared of all visitors
4:45 PM – Corps of Cadets Falls Out on the Quad
4:56 PM – Cannon Fires
5:00 PM – Corps steps off for March-in Through Campus
6:30 PM – Kick-off
To ensure the health and safety of our cadets during this COVID-19 pandemic, the following protocols will be in place on the Quad throughout the weekend:
- The Corps dorms, Leadership Learning Centers, and the Sanders Corps of Cadets Center will be closed to visitors prior to the game and throughout the weekend.
- For this game, no visitors are allowed on the Quad before or during fallout, formation, or step-off. The Corps must maintain appropriate physical distancing across the Quad, from the arches to Duncan Dining Hall, thus no visitors can be on the Quad prior to or during fallout and step-off.
- All parents, family members, and friends are invited to observe the Corps march-in through campus along the march-in route. To view the Corps please stand along the march-in route on Throckmorton Street, Joe Routt Blvd or Gene Stallings Blvd. Please see the map for details on where to observe the march-in.
- Reminder to observe safety protocols while on campus. Please wear masks when in groups, and maintain social distancing when conducting activities on campus on game day.
For those watching the game at home, we will post the Aggie Band halftime performance at halftime on our social media sites. Please tune in to see our nationally famous Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band perform their halftime drill!
While we know that COVID-19 has impacted all of us in a variety of ways, we still look forward to an exciting weekend of Aggie football, and seeing our cadets participate in the game day experience. We hope all of you are excited too, and greatly appreciate your cooperation in maintaining safety protocols on campus and your support!
