Yucheng Guo ’17

Yucheng Guo ‘16 is an Electrical Engineering Major from Qingdao, China and is the son of Luhai Guo and Guanghong Zhu. He is currently serving as the Scholastic Officer in Squadron 6 for the 2015-2016 school year.

Active within the Corps, Yucheng was originally from SQ-1 and spent one year with SQ-12. He is currently in SQ-6 serving as Scholastic Officer in the outfit and a member of the O.R. Simpson Honor Society.

Outside the Corps, Yucheng stays active in many student organizations. He is currently the president of W5AC, the Texas A&M University Amateur Radio Club. He is also a student ambassador at Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department, and has been involved with internships in China and Malaysia for the past two summers. Yucheng has received many scholarships and rewards, including an Aggie Ring Scholarship and Who’s Who Award for 2015-2016.

Upon graduation in May 2016, Yucheng will continue his studies at Texas A&M and pursue a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Yucheng is a talented cadet with exceptional leadership ability within the Corps and the University. He is a friendly, humorous and intelligent young man who exemplifies selfless service and dedication to the community. I am glad Yucheng has been a member of the Corps of Cadets and am proud of him for his accomplishments. His future study and career path will surely be successful.
