Wyatt Chen ’17

Wyatt Chen ’17 is an Applied Mathematical Sciences major from Houston, Texas. He currently serves on the Artillery Band Staff and is in B-Battery.

Within the Corps, Wyatt has held several leadership roles including Platoon Sergeant and Drum Section Sergeant. He is also very active within Air Force ROTC and is serving as Cadet Wing Director of Staff for this school year.

Wyatt has had the opportunity to intern for Formosa Plastics Corporation in Point Comfort, Texas where he worked in the IT department as a systems technician. Last summer he interned with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) where he was assigned to IT acquisitions and assisted in updating network equipment.  “The program provided an incredibly beneficial glimpse into the role acquisitions play within the government,” Wyatt said.

After graduating, Wyatt plans to commission into the US Air Force and continue working with computers and solving technical problems.

“My goal here and after is to develop my peers and friends so that they may live happy, successful, and fruitful lives that embody the Core values we all hold dear,” Wyatt said. I know he will continue to achieve success in all of his future endeavors and will continue to be a great role model and leader. I am proud of Wyatt and am thankful that he is, and always will be, a member of the Corps of Cadets. I look forward to seeing the impact he will make in the future!
