Samantha Glunt ’14

Samantha Glunt ’14 is a Sociology major from Redondo Beach, California. She is the daughter of Mary and Ronald Glunt and is the first Aggie in her family. Samantha is currently serving as the Recruiting, Public Relations, and Signal Officer on the 2nd Wing Staff for the 2013 – 2014 school year.

Active within the Corps, Samantha is a member of the Corps women’s soccer and softball teams. She graduated from Air Force ROTC Field Training in 2012 in the top third of her squadron. She was the Air Force ROTC Detachment 805’s Iron Woman, and received the Warrior Spirit, Academic Honors, Commendation, Achievement, and Physical Fitness awards. Samantha also received the Best Recruiter award for 2nd Wing as a junior. She is currently pursuing an Academic Certificate in Leadership Studies with the Hollingsworth Leadership Development Program.

After graduation in December 2014, Samantha aspires to work for the United States Secret Service or the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She also plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Cognitive Psychology.

Samantha has excelled in her endeavors within the Corps, and has shown over and again that she has exceptional leadership abilities. She is a mature, intelligent young woman who has proactively sought out leadership opportunities in the Corps and has a clearly defined career path in mind as she nears graduation. Samantha is a superb student and cadet, and I have no doubt that she will succeed in her goals and aspirations to pursue a career as a federal law enforcement agent.
