- Attend an A&M sporting event – football in the fall or basketball/baseball in the spring (subject to scheduling and ticket availability)
- Attend a recognition ceremony
- Additional Corps scholarship consideration is given for participants
Dates and Schedule
JCAP is offered once during the fall and spring semesters. Check-in for the JCAP is at the Sanders Corps of Cadets Center from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The program concludes Saturday at the Corps Center immediately after the scheduled sporting event. Detailed schedule will be released after the start time of the sporting event is confirmed.
All qualified cadets attending JCAP are eligible to compete for a Corps of Cadets scholarship, which carries no military obligation and may be used in conjunction with other scholarships. Attendance at JCAP will gain participants additional points for scholarship consideration. If a Corps Scholarship is awarded to a student who is not a resident of Texas, the recipient may qualify for in-state tuition. To claim the scholarship students must complete the scholarship section of the TAMU application (applytexas.org), gain and accept admission to TAMU, and join the Corps of Cadets.
