C.C. Taylor ’51

C.C. (Carroll) Taylor graduated from A&M College in 1951 with his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. While in the Corps of Cadets he was a member of B Engineers, Fish Drill Team, Corps Staff, and Commander of the Ross Volunteer Company. After graduation, he went to work in West Texas for Humble Oil and Refining Company (now ExxonMobil). After being called to active duty in the U.S. Army for two years, he returned to Exxon where he climbed the ladder to become Vice President of Esso Australia. He then served as President of Esso Norway and ended his career as Vice President of Esso Exploration in Houston. Taylor’s main dedication to Texas A&M is in sponsoring the writings and distribution of books and videos about substantial contributions made by Aggies serving in the military during the wars of the last century. In addition, he has provided several scholarships for members of the Corps. Taylor has been a longtime member of the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association.
