Jerry Dobbs ’17 from Dallas, Texas, is a Sports Management major with minors in Business Administration and Coaching. He is the son of Jerry Dobbs, Sr. and Darla Sterling. He is originally from Company F-2, and is currently the First Brigade Public Relations and Recruiting Officer.

As a freshman, Jerry was a member of Rudder Rangers, and was named the Best Drilled Freshman in Company F-2.  He received the most Outstanding Recruiter award his sophomore year, and was awarded Best Drilled Sophomore.  As a junior, Jerry was the 1st Brigade Recruiting and Professional Development Sergeant.  He is a member of the O.R. Simpson Honor Society, Darling Recruiting Company, Corps Center Guard, and is the Color Guard Executive Officer.

Jerry has been a member of the Army Reserves for over 5 years, and is enrolled in the Army’s Simultaneous Membership Program. He will commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army upon graduation from Texas A&M.

This past May Jerry traveled to Israel as part of our international excursion program, and spent part of his summer attending Army ROTC Advanced Camp at Ft Knox, Kentucky. He also spent time with an active duty Army unit, serving as a Platoon Leader at Fort Benning, GA.

Off the quad, Jerry works for the Office of Admissions as a Peer Recruiter.
Following his graduation and commissioning, Jerry plans to start his own real estate company.  Jerry is a hard working leader who is dedicated to service.  He exemplifies all that we expect from our cadets, and will no doubt go on to great success in whatever he chooses to do in the future. I know he will make us proud, and we wish him nothing but success in all of his future endeavors.
