Spend the Night with the Corps

The popular Spend the Night with the Corps (SNWC) program offers high school juniors and seniors a unique, first-hand experience of Corps and student life at Texas A&M. During the program, participants will:

  • Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
  • Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
  • Eat meals with cadet outfits and watch formations
  • Attend a class with a cadet
  • Hear from key staff about Corps experience
  • Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support
  • For those interested, have the chance to visit with the Aggie Band director about the nationally famous Fightin' Texas Aggie Band

Spend the Day with the Corps

The Spend the Day with the Corps program is an official campus visit to Texas A&M University offered each summer for rising high school juniors and seniors and their parents. The activities throughout the day include:

  • An admissions application workshop with university admissions counselors
  • Presentations from various departments around the campus
  • Tours of campus and the Quad
  • Time with cadets, Corps staff and ROTC representatives
  • An Aggie Yell Practice with the A&M Yell Leaders at the end of the day

4H & FFA Program

The 4H/FFA Program welcomes high school juniors and seniors involved in 4-H or FFA for a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. Space is limited so register now. While at 4H-FFA students will:

  • Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
  • Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
  • Eat meals with cadet outfits and watch formations
  • Attend a class with a cadet
  • Hear from key staff about the Corps experience
  • Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support
  • For those interested, have the chance to visit with the Aggie Band director about the nationally famous Fightin' Texas Aggie Band
  • Attend a recognition luncheon at the conclusion of the event. Corps of Cadets scholarship certificates will be awarded

Junior Cadet Accessions Program

The Junior Cadet Accessions Program (JCAP) welcomes high school juniors and seniors involved in Junior ROTC, Civil Air Patrol, Young Marines and Sea Cadets to A&M for a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. While at JCAP, students will:

  • Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
  • Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
  • Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support
  • Train with Corps Special Units on the obstacle, stamina, and leadership development courses
  • Attend an A&M sporting event - football in the fall or basketball in the spring
  • Train with our national drill champions, the Fish Drill Team
  • In the Fall, participate in March-In to Kyle Field before a football game
  • Attend a recognition banquet

Aggie Eagle Program

The Aggie Eagle Program (AEP) welcomes high school juniors and seniors who are Eagle Scouts, Girl Scout Gold Award, or Stars and Stripes Award recipients for a first-hand experience with the Corps of Cadets. Traditionally, the Corps has over 300 members who hold the BSA Eagle Scout rank or the GSUSA Gold Award. The AEP recognizes the same traits that motivate a youngster to join scouts also encourage them, as collegians, to join the Corps. While at AEP, students will:

  • Meet current cadets and learn about their experiences in the Corps
  • Stay in the Corps dorms on campus
  • Meet Eagle Scouts in the Corps and other high school scouts
  • Train with Corps special units on the obstacle, stamina, and leadership development courses
  • Learn about the university admissions process, financial aid, scholarships and academic support
  • Attend an A&M sporting event - football in the fall or basketball in the spring
  • Attend a recognition banquet
